Humpty’s Home

victorIt wasn’t until my Humpty, my step son Victor, fell that I took his words to heart and allowed myself to take credit for my talents.  His death opened my eyes to the world around me. I now write and paint to share my talents and discoveries with the world.

Although, I can’t put my special Humpty back together again, I can use the wisdom gleaned by my experiences to fill the world with beauty and hope.

I am strong, I am successful and my art and my writing reflects my victory. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to share my love of beauty and and art with you.

    1. Thank you.
My step son touched my life in so many beautiful ways, and my gift to him for all the love and memories is sharing my experiences and doing my part to make our world a little bit more loving and easier for us to live in.
Every person has tremendous worth and value, and if I can help even one person realize that, then Victor’s suicide will have had a positive impact on the world, and we can use that instead of focusing on the tragedy of it.

  1. In spite of it all, faith and love carry us through. I thank you for finding and following my blog. I am looking forward to seeing more of your posts in the future, seeing your amazing artwork, and learning more about you.

  2. Humpty, You recently visited my blog and for whatever reason decided to follow me for a bit. I truly appreciate that. My heart goes out to you for the lost of your step son, it is clear he had a wonderful impact on you, and because of that you now share your talents. Victor gave you a gift and you are sharing it with us. thank both of you. I will visit again and again. Please take care and be safe. Bill

    1. You just made my day with your comment. My goal is to take the tragedy of his suicide and use it as a blessing in both my life, and the life of everyone who I come in contact with.
I found you on a press feed and your picture made me smile. You do look like Santa.
So I looked around your site and knew I needed to follow your posts.
      God Bless.

  3. First thank you for visiting my blog. It is such a blessing to meet so many of God’s children and hear their stories. Your step-son lives on through yours and has the opportunity to touch so many lives. What a reunion it will be one day…

    1. I was excited to find your blog. I look forward to reading it often.
Thank you for your kind words about my son. I write for that very reason…so he can live on through my words.
I can’t wait to see him again someday.
      God Bless!

  4. I don’t mean to intrude on you blog, but I just had to say that you have one of the most outstanding sites I’ve ever seen. And just a note of thanks for what you do. I think folks like you bring beauty and joy to a world in which those qualities are in such need.

    1. You just made my day! Thank you so much for your kind words. Your reaction is the exact reason I write and paint. I have personally seen too much of the sadness and cruelty in this world. I have had monsters in my life who have tried to rob me of my joy, and because they didn’t succeed, and I have gone on to live a happy life after the abuse, I want to share my discoveries with anyone who cares to read about them.
I am so glad that my words have given you a little joy in your life…
Now your words have given that joy back to me!🙂

  5. Hello Melanie! Thank you so much for visiting my blog and following. I hope that you find and enjoy quality content there. I am now following you and can’t wait to get better acquainted with your work! Have a great evening!🙂

  6. I just happened on your blog and I look forward to following you. I lost my brother to suicide and also a very dear friend. I thought I would grow old with both of them and am so sad that I’m not sharing this journey with them. Sometimes we do not realize that others are feeling despair. You appreciate life all the more and what we lost is now a part of us.

    1. I am so honored to have you following me.
Suicide is such a tragedy. It changes those of us left behind in ways that we could never imagine that it would.
Some of the changes are beautiful and in other ways that are not so beautiful.
But I feel that by sharing my experience I can hopefully lighten the burden of myself and others due to this tragedy.
      Welcome to my magical blog.
I am so glad you found it.

    1. That is the beauty of blogging. We meet people that we would otherwise never even know existed, and get to share our experiences and knowledge with eachother, and along the way some of us even become great friends.
I am so glad that our paths have crossed and look forward to getting to know you better.

    1. You are so very welcome.Sharing has been very healing for me. I have met so many beautiful souls through my blog. My life is rich and blessed because of the interactions I have had here.

  7. I’m not sure why but this web site is loading incredibly slow for me.
Is anyone else having this problem or is it a problem on my end?
I’ll check back later and see if the problem still exists.

  8. Psalm 126:5 what you sow in tears reaps much joy. I am beyond thrilled that God’s word does not come back void. I see HIS BEAUTY in your works. They certainly glorify HIM.

    ABUNDANT BLESSINGS, EMMA

  9. I too lost a son in June to a terrible tragedy which has changed me forever. I am leaning towards using my creative talents to make a living instead of the job I currently have. I need the support of my family to make this giant leap. Your story is an inspiration to me and a huge tribute to your son. God bless your journey.

    1. I want you to know that i feel your pain. I applaud you for wanting to make a difference and turn your pain into something beautiful. I can tell you firsthand that my decision to do just that was the best decision of my life. I have healed, and met so many amazing people on my journey that I would never have met if I hadn’t made the decision to share my story and my art with others.
God Bless you and your family.
I will be praying for your healing and your success

I would love to hear your thoughts..please share.
