Both art and visions are deeply healing for your whole life. Make art, anything, draw, sing, dance, write a poem, and you will find out who you are what you are to do in this life.
Making art will heal your trauma and wounds. It will heal you, your family, your community and the earth. I know this is true. Without my art, my life would have never worked itself out.
Make Art to Relax and Grow.
Remember and know in every moment in every breath, that you are an artist, you are a healer. Use your talents to share the person that you are with the world.
Each and every one of us is unique and special.
Art is a wonderful medium to share what it is about you that is different and unique.
So don’t be afraid to expose yourself, just relax and start to create.
In your beautiful life, listen to people with awe, love, admiration and beauty.
See the people in your life in their most beautiful moments; in this second and love them from everywhere.
Release judgment, let your inner critic, the one who tells you that you can’t do something leave.
Now, open your eyes and see the world and your friends and family without judgment, in pure love.
You can do this. It’s beautiful and it’s life changing.
Stop looking for the PERFECT PERSON and instead, start looking for the perfection IN each person.
Good relationships are built on daily loving interactions, not whether or not you are PERFECT.
When we are able to tune into our five senses when we are with our children, our friends, or our significant other, and just relish the warmth of a hug, or the smell of their skin and hair, or look into their eyes while they are talking, we will begin to appreciate the imperfections that make them irresistable to us.
The love and affection for that person will naturally grow because they don’t feel the need to be perfect. They just know they are perfectly loved!
Paying attention to our senses boosts intimacy and connection because it re-directs our thoughts to how we are feeling in that moment.
When I go into a home to bid a mural. I ask lots of questions about their life. I notice the family pictures.
I comment on the decorations they have in their home.
I ask about the colors they have used in their space.
I really listen to them so that when I come back to create a mural for them, I am prepared to create something that will feed not only their eyes, but their soul as well.
When you are with someone, listen to their stories and sniff out the words that resonate with your own feelings and beliefs.
Then love them right there as they are.
That level of compassion is rare and difficult to find in our busy world today. So take the time to slow down and share your humanity with the people who cross your path today.
Remember that your love comes to you from your spirit and that the love you give is from your spirit too, from before the beginning of time to after the end of time.
The love you give and are immersed in comes from your first kiss to your last breath.
When someone criticizes you, open your heart and listen. Take the criticism as advice to grow and change.
Have compassion for yourself and others.
To do this, simply feel love of the one who loves you the most.
In your imagination see someone who loves you more deeply than you can know and bring that someone into your consciousness feeling the love they feel for you and the love you feel for them. Then, let that love spread to yourself, family, community and the earth in your artistic imagination.
This experience opens your heart.
Experience this heart opening as a feeling state of love.
